Wiktionary is a sister project to Wikipedia to create a free wikiwiki dictionary in every language. Following through with Daniel Alston's idea, it was set up on December 12, 2002. For the moment it has a temporary URL, but plans are being made to move it to: language.wiktionary.org

Wiktionary now has more than 30,000 entries.
