Made in Canada

Made in Canada is a Canadian television sitcom airing on the CBC from 1998 to 2003; it is also broadcast as The Industry as it internationally airs in the United States, France, Australia and Latin America.

Winner of the Gemini Award for Best Comedy Series for seasons three and four.

Pyramid Productions, one of the most successful television and film companies in Canada, is a viper’s nest of creative incompetence, savage greed and hysterical backbiting.

Richard (Rick Mercer) and his army of power-hungry corporate climbers – Alan Roy, the charismatic womanizing CEO (Peter Keleghan), his ambitious sidekick Veronica Miller (Leah Pinsent), corporate weasel Victor Sela (Dan Lett) and Wanda, Alan’s long-suffering secretary (Jackie Torrens) – all continue to devise schemes and outwit their enemies at every turn.

The Theme song; "Blow at High Dough" is performed by The Tragically Hip.

Repeats of the Made in Canada/ The Industry series air on Showcase in Canada at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT weeknights.

The series is both produced by and is a parody of Salter Street Films and Island Edge Inc.
