Julius Petersen

Julius Petersen (June 16, 1839 - August 5, 1910) was a Danish mathematician.

He made early contributions to the field of graph theory. In 1892, he proposed a graph, known today as the "Petersen Graph".

He published a systematic treatment of geometrical constructions (with compasses and straightedge) in 1880. A French translation was reprinted in 1990.
