John Pemberton

Dr. John Stith Pemberton (July 8, 1831 - August 16, 1888) was an American druggist who was the original maker of Coca-Cola.

He was born in Knoxville, the county seat of Crawford County, Georgia, the son of James Clifford Pemberton (born 1803) and his wife Martha (born c. 1791).
