In 1935, he wonHambletonian racein 1938 he loweredrecord timetrottingmile1:55¼. This record stood until 1969. He trotted 25 two-minute milesat one time held fourteen world records. He was retired1940Red Gate FarmSt. Charles, Illinois. Greyhound was so popular that his owner, Col. Edward J. Baker, allowed visitorsseehorse until February 1965 when he died atage33.

Greyhound was honored as Horse ofCentury after his death.
