Gas
A gasone ofphasesmatter. Gases are, like liquids, fluids:haveabilityflowdo not resist deformation. Unlike liquids, however, unconstrained gases do not occupyfixed volume, but instead expandfill whatever spaceoccupy. The kinetic energy ingas isgreatest ofstatesmatter. Becausethis increased kinetic energy, gas atomsmolecules tendbounce offone another, more so askinetic energyincreased.
