Camberwell
Camberwell is a place in London, England in the London Borough of Southwark. It used to be part of the Metropolitan Borough of Camberwell.The Camberwell area is a mixture of relatively affluent housing, combined with poorer communities living in cheaper housing such as tower blocks. The ethnic mix includes a large proportion of black people, especially those of Caribbean and Nigerian descent, as well as a number of immigrants of middle eastern origin.
The crossroads at the centre of Camberwell is the site of Camberwell Green, a very small area of common land. Unfortunately, on the green it is impossible to ignore the nearby passing traffic.
